Ode To Beer: Audacious Apricot Ale from Pyramid Brewery

Greetings gentlemen, it’s Brendan, your resident bachelor. Those who know me, know I am a man of many talents. These talents include such things as screaming obscenities at children and the elderly, administering lie detector tests with a grapefruit and an electric razor, but my closets friends and my AA sponsor know me best for my true passion. That is beer. Yes gentlemen, I am what you call a beer enthusiast and about a month and a half ago, this beer enthusiast left the quiet shores of New York City to visit family and friends in Arizona.

When I first arrived there, I thought, “Fuck it’s hot. This was a terrible idea.” But then something happened, something that has never happened to me before. On my second day there, somebody handed me a beer. A beer that I had never heard of before, from a brewery I had never heard of before. I must admit, it was a little embarrassing. I had always thought I was a true beer conosur, but with red cheeks and wounded pride, I opened the beer and took my first sip. The second it hit my tongue, the pain went away. And everyone of my taste buds were alive. I felt like a 13 year old kid who just took their first sip of their father’s stale beer he left on the kitchen table. After countless years at countless bars and parties, I felt like I was taking a sip of beer for the first time all over again. Inspired by my discovery, I have decided to do a weekly article showcasing a different beer each time and what better way to begin then with the beer that started it all.

5 Laptops you should buy before buying a MacBook Pro

Let’s face it not everyone can buy a MacBook Pro. The base model of the Apple MacBook Pro goes for 1,199 and the highest end model goes for 2,299. This is a lot for a bachelor to spend on a laptop. This post is dedicated on what else to buy besides a MacBook Pro after all I am a bachelor and have other expenses.

1) For starters I would buy a Dell Mini 10. These mini laptops are portable and you can take them anywhere. The price range is just right even with a 10 inch screen. The starting price is around 279.00 and you can always find a student discount somewhere. These laptops are just right for the price. I have one and they are just plain awesome.

Guide to Haircuts & Hairstyles

Hello Everyone!

I’m here today to talk about haircuts/hairstyles. When I go visit my barber, he knows what I get so that conversation about my hair is very small. Though I am always confused between a zero/one/two/fade/tape-up/spike etc…..So today I will give you what the difference is between each and throw my own spin on it.

A zero is basically ‘bald’. The barber gets to go clipper happy and buzz of all your hair.

You get to look this guy:

THERE’S A BEER SONG?!!??!!

Women love to nag, about EVERYTHING. “You forgot to take out the trash”, “You didn’t clean up after yourself in the bathroom”, “You can’t do anything right”, blah blah blah blah. Everyone messes up at work but when you do, your boss makes it seem like it’s the end of the world. After a while it could start to make you feel like you can’t do anything right. But behold, I have something that will make you feel better about your lack of cleaning skills. Beer.

I know what your thinking, “Kristin, I already know that beer makes me feel better.” But what you haven’t thought of is how you drink your beer. Country music singer Billy Currington helps us put our beer consumption into a whole new perspective with his song “I’m Pretty Good at Drinkin’ Beer.”  While it might not be the catchiest song in the whole world, in reality it’s pretty dull, but thats not what were focusing on.

Kristin’s Guide: Being a Gentleman

Just because your a bachelor, doesn’t mean you can’t be a gentleman. If your going to be a bachelor, you should be the best damn bachelor you can be (this doesn’t mean join the army for those slower bachelors out there). Looking good only does so much until you open your mouth and let out a belch that will shake the earwax out of your date’s or future date’s ears (hopefully there isn’t earwax, but you can see where I’m going with this…)

So I’m going to school you on some simple bachelor etiquette that should help you close the deal (na-mean, na-mean).
