Things to do on a Snow Day

We here at The Bachelor Bible are getting hammered with snow on the East Coast.. So, what do we do? We can trek it to the mall to return gifts if we want, (thanks mom for the ugly sweater).

1) Movie/TV: My DVR is screaming at me. Time to catch up on CSI, The Walking Dead, NCIS, and whatever else I record recently.

2) Read: I honestly hate reading, but that’s what you do when you have nothing else to do. Lately, I have been reading Gary Vaynerchuk Crush It. It’s worth the read.

3) Video Games: Typical, but I still have not reached Inheritor in Halo 3 Reach yet.

4) Music: There are so many good bands out there, but dont get the credit they deserve. Here are two awesome bands that you might not know about: Lights Resolve & Avon Junkies.

5) Pro-Create: OK. OK. Typical answer from a guy but nows the time so the kid/baby is born in the Summerish. You have all day to try to get it right.

5 Quick Tips to Have More Energy After Having Little Sleep

Let’s face it, us bachelors love to sleep, but there are nights that we do not have the chance. I recently was up till 3AM coming home from an Avon Junkies concert and then realized I have to be up in 3 HOURS for softball in Jersey. What!?!? We did come home with a W and made it to the championship game, but I am dead tired. A few quick tips from friends informed me how to have a “power boost” until I actually get some real sleep.

1) Drink anything with caffeine: Coffee, Soda, Tea, or even an energy drink. But make sure you watch your intake, because you might crasher harder than you think.

2) Cold Shower: The cold water on your body will help wake you up and make you feel new again.

3) Breakfast: Go to your local Dunkin’ Donuts and get some eggs whites with toast.

4) Exercise: I think this helped me this morning. This will get the blood flowing and your muscle moving.

5) Music: Loud rock music can awaken your senses and get you going.

Remember these tips for next time. As for me I’m going to bed finally.

5 Rules of Bar Etiquette

So after the @dapswebsite party Friday night I realized some people do not know how to get served at a bar. I guess its one of those things that you have to learn yourself but I’m here to tell you before you act like a fool.

1) The bartenders see you: I know all of us can’t wait to get served but just have patience or leave. Some bars only operate 1 or 2 bartenders on a busy night so just wait to get served and when you do get served have manners like “Thank You”.

2) Know What You’re Drinking: You just ordered 16 shots and 8 drinks for the cast of Jersey Shore and the bartender had it to you in less than 5 minutes. Have your money out when the bartender gets back. Even if you don’t know how much you’re going to spend take out a 50 dollar bill.

P.S. Run a tab. It’s fast and easy and you only have to figure out the tip once

3) Don’t Fight: If you have to take it outside.

4) Don’t Complain About Prices: At most bars the cover/door charge goes to the band. The bar does not make any money off of that. When I go see the @Avonjunkies play I know that they bust their ass and deserve to get paid.

5) Don’t Expect Free Drinks. EVER: Some bartenders will buy you a drink/shot. Some won’t. Get over the fact if you didn’t get a free beer for the night. My cousins a restaurant/bar manager in D.C. and under no circumstances are they allowed to give out free drinks. They even have a systems that measure how much alcohol was poured for each shot. So relax cowboy.
